A Bit of Both - Anna & Luke's Wedding

My boyfriend, and I had been invited to the wedding of his best friend's younger sister, Anna. My boyfriend had known Anna, through his best friend since he was young and practically counted her as a sister, so as expected, we were very excited to receive an invitation to be guests at her and her soon to be husband Luke's Wedding!

All was going smoothly for the two of them and excitement was in the air as the final plans came together. Up until the moment they found out their photographer was no longer available.

Her brother contacted me to let me know what had happened and asked if I could take on that role instead. Obviously I accepted as wedding photos are one of the only things that you can keep forever and to not have them seemed such a shame.

I hung up the heels and took out my comfy flats readying myself to be on my feet all day.

I met with Anna at her dad's house for some photos of her and the bridesmaids getting ready. It was hectic with so many of us together but we all managed it and the girls had lots of fun being made to look extremely glamorous. It was clear the father of the bride was very proud of his little girl!

After a few photos outside the house with the lovely car her dad had arranged, we headed off to Bletchingley Golf Club in Surrey for the ceremony and reception!

You could see Anna was nervous upon arrival as well as excited, after all, you would want your special day to be perfect too! She looked so beautiful in her dress and we all knew Luke would be blown away. But only after he had to witness two of her brothers coming down the aisle first as flower girls... yes I wrote that correctly! And how entertaining that was indeed!

The ceremony went beautifully, full of laughs and smiles, especially over Luke stumbling over his words a little when it came to saying Anna's full name. Never the less, it went smoothly and before we knew it, the couple were married and the stressful part was out of the way... well until the speeches, everyone knows how much pressure they are!

Overall the day was one full of love and laughter, the speeches went very well and the father of the bride made sure to embarrass Anna just a little! I spent some time alone with the couple for some beautiful photos throughout the golf course and then on to party the night away.

Thank you both not only for having me as a guest, but for also trusting me to capture your day the way you wanted!

Wishing you all the happiness in the world!

Emma
