It's Who You Know - Ross & Keeley's Wedding

It all started with a Facebook message from an old friend from school!

Ross and I had been classmates for many years before leaving school and parting ways, so it came as a lovely surprise when I got a message on Facebook from him asking if I was available to be the photographer for his wedding.

Ross & Keeley were extremely organised when booking me in for their special day, it was 2 years before they were due to get married when we agreed the date and popped it into my diary! He was insistent that he wanted me to shoot the wedding and naturally, I said yes. What could be better than being the photographer for the friend from school. Over the moon for him that he had found his forever soul mate!

It was clearly obvious how perfect for each other these two were! They both made each other laugh, a lot, and when I say laughs, I mean proper belly laugh!

They made my job super easy, especially when it came to the more natural, candid shots! you sometimes get couples you often have to encourage to smile, but these two, well you couldn't wipe their smiles off their faces if you tried!

I was with Keeley from the very beginning, spending the morning in the hair salon with her and her Maid of Honour, and soon to be sister-in-law Kayleigh, before heading back to Keeley's parents house to get her makeup done and into her dress! Once ready, after hiding it for so long from her dad, Keeley then did the first reveal of her dress to him, which was a little emotional for everyone... Even I shed a little tear of joy at his reaction!

I then met them at Leatherhead Registry office for the ceremony, short and sweet, but you could feel the love in the room from the couple and I was glad I could capture the proud looks on their families faces. This was my second Covid wedding so naturally it was still surreal to only have a few faces to photograph during the ceremony, but Ross and Keeley were very happy with their small, intimate wedding. Glad they could share it with those closest to them, minus a couple of people they wished could be there but were not able to due to numbers.

Their reception was held at The Dog & Duck in Outwood. The food was lovely, the staff very helpful and despite not being able to have a full party like we all could pre-Covid, the couple still had an awesome time and made sure to celebrate as best they could!

It's coming up to their 1st anniversary in May and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! Thank you both for involving me in your big day!
